π Do I really not need an account to share my Oriental Trading cart?
Correct. The free product asks for no sign-up, no login, no email address and no personal information at any point. Carts are identified by an anonymous ID that isn't connected to whoever created or opened them.
π¨ Does the person I send the cart to have to sign up?
No. They open the link and see the cart. Depending on the retailer they may want the free extension to load everything in one click, but installing an extension isn't registering for an account.
ποΈ What information does Share-A-Cart keep about me?
On the free product, nothing that identifies you. We generate an anonymous ID per cart and don't associate it with a person. If you choose the optional Share-A-Cart+ tier, we store the name and email address your Google or Microsoft sign-in gives us, and nothing more.
π Do I need to be signed in to Oriental Trading?
To build the cart in the first place, usually yes β that's how orientaltrading.com works, with or without us. To buy from a cart somebody shared, the buyer signs in as themselves. Neither of those is a Share-A-Cart account.
β¨ What does Share-A-Cart+ add, and do I need it?
It adds cart history, a dashboard and organization features, and it requires a login because it has to know whose carts to show you. You don't need it for anything on this page β sharing a cart is free and account-free without it.
